UP-DATE ON JOYCE
I have been requested to send an up-date on my precious wife, Joyce. I must confess that the past 72 hours have been difficult. As a part of the symptoms of her disease (dementia with Lewy bodies), there are periods of delirium, hallucinations, and spasms. She has had an especially bad episode.
During this time she did not respond to any of our voices and was in a world of her own. This finally broke early this afternoon (1:00 pm pacific standard time). She is now totally exhausted and sleeping. We are able to talk briefly with her, but she then goes back to sleep.
Our daughter, Lori has been helping during this time and staying here each night. We have had very little sleep and are eagerly looking forward to sweet sleep in the spirit tonight.
